Press Release Regarding the Suicide Attack Perpetrated in Kabul

We have learnt with great sorrow that according to initial reports, 15 officials of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) lost their lives and approximately 160 people were injured as a result of the suicide attack perpetrated with a bomb-laden vehicle against a NDS building and in the following shooting which took place in Kabul today (19 April).

We condemn this heinous attack in the strongest terms, which constitutes another terrorist act targeting peace and stability of Afghanistan, wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, hope for a speedy recovery to the wounded and convey our condolences to the families of the deceased, to the Government and brotherly people of Afghanistan.

We once again reassure that Turkey will continue its support to the Government of Afghanistan in its fight against terrorism and in its efforts for bringing peace and stability to Afghanistan, and its solidarity with the brotherly Afghan people.
