Ambassador Ali Murat Ersoy was appointed as the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in New Delhi on 1st March 2025.He presented his credentials to the Honourable President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu, on 29th May 2025.

Starting his diplomatic career in 1991, Ambassador Ersoy served in capitals including Washington DC, Athens and London. He held various roles in the Northeast Mediterranean, Maritime Affairs and Aviation, Policy Planning, North/South America Departments at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs as well as at the Office of the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

He was the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye in Beijing from 2013 to 2017.

Ambassador Ersoy holds a B.A. Degree in International Relations from the University of Ankara and an M.A. Degree in International Studies from the University of Reading.

He is married with one child.
