Press Release Regarding the 5th Meeting of “Turkish - British Tatlıdil Forum”

The 5th meeting of “Turkish-British Tatlıdil Forum” will be held in Bath on 11-13 March 2016. H.E. Mehmet Şimşek, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Turkey, H.E. Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Turkey, and H.E. Binali Yıldırım, Minister of Transportation, Maritime Affairs and Communications of the Republic of Turkey, will attend the Forum. Rt Hon Philip Hammond, Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom, will also participate in the Forum.

At the margins of the Forum, Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu will meet with his counterpart Foreign Secretary Philip Hammond to exchange views on bilateral relations, Turkey-EU relations, the Cyprus issue, the fight against terrorism and current regional and international developments, particularly the situation in Syria.

“The Tatlıdil Forum” established in 2011 is an unofficial platform designed to enhance Turkish-British relations in all areas through civil dialogue. The Forum is attended among others by representatives of business, academia, politics and the media.

The high level participation in the Forum attests to the importance attached by Turkey to its contribution and role in adding a substantial civil dimension to the strong ties, friendship, strategic partnership and alliance relations between Turkey and the United Kingdom.
