Press Release Regarding the Suicide Attack Perpetrated in Logar Province of Afghanistan

We have learned with deep sorrow that 22 police officers lost their lives and 9 police officers were wounded in the suicide attacks perpetrated against a police station in Logar Province of Afghanistan today (17 February) according to the initial reports.

We condemn these heinous attacks aiming at disrupting the historical process Afghanistan has been going through. We wish God’s mercy upon those who lost their lives, convey our condolences to their families and wish speedy recovery to the wounded. We also express once more our strong feelings of solidarity with the government and people of Afghanistan.

On this occasion, we reiterate our conviction that the perpetrators of this terrorist attack will not achieve their goals of dragging Afghanistan into instability and confirm that we will always stand by brotherly Afghanistan in its struggle against terrorism.
