Mr. President,

It is with deep sorrow that I have learnt of the flood disaster, the loss of life and the destruction of property in your country. We wholeheartedly share your grief.

I would like to express that Turkey stands ready to assist the flood affected areas in every possible way, should the Indian authorities require our assistance.

On this occasion, on behalf of myself and my nation, I extend our wishes of mercy upon the Indian citizens who lost their lives and sympathy and patience to their bereaved families, as well as rapid recovery to the injured. May the friendly people of India be relieved of their wounds at the earliest.
