We strongly condemn the bomb attack perpetrated in the city center of Djibouti on 24 May 2014.

We expect that the perpetrators of this terrorist attack, which aimed at destabilizing Djibouti will be caught and punished as soon as possible. Turkey attaches importance to exerting resolute common efforts against those targeting the spreading of terrorism, which is a crime against humanity.

We have learnt with sorrow that a Turkish citizen has lost his life in this heinous attack. We wish God's mercy upon him, convey our condolences to his family and hope for a speedy recovery of the injured. On this occasion, we confirm that we will maintain our support for the security and stability of the friendly people of Djibouti.
